Judo is a modern Japanese martial art and Olympic sport that emphasises throws, joint locks, and pins to subdue opponents. Developed by Jigoro Kano, it focuses on using an opponent’s force and balance against them, promoting physical and mental discipline. Practicing Judo enhances self-defence skills, improves physical fitness, and fosters values such as respect, perseverance, and mutual welfare.
Led by Dominic Sculli who holds a 1st Dan and Senior Coach in Judo, bringing extensive experience and expertise to the program. His guidance helps students develop technical skills, strategic understanding, and competitive edge in Judo. Sensei Dominic also holds a State Referee Licence recognised by Judo Victoria Incorporated.
Sensei Dominic trains under the guidance of Resilience Training Centre’s Head coach Daniel Kelly for 10+ Years.

Age Groups We Cater To?
Judo classes are available for two age groups: 7-16 years, where children and teenagers learn fundamental techniques and develop discipline, and 16+ years, where adults can pursue advanced training, competitive opportunities, and continued skill development.
Coaches Accreditations: Dominic Sculli holds the accreditation of Judo Australia Senior Coach, underscoring his expertise and commitment to high standards in Judo instruction.
